This is our new favorite park. It is a farm with two stocked lakes, covered in picnic areas, and the coolest and cleanest play area I have ever seen. So a couple of weeks ago we took some fishing poles, a big picnic, and played. And this shows the fickleness of the St Louis weather. Two days before we were on snow advisory, yesterday it was 20 degrees with a fifty mph wind, making it REALLY cold! DJ actually came up at 5:30 am to ask if we were going to have a tornado. Wrong time of day to explain about warm fronts and cold fronts, so all he got was "no" for all it felt like we COULD be about to see a tornado. Anyway, a couple of Saturdays ago, after our snow advisory, it was almost 70, so we could really enjoy our day.
This is Emily on a life-size replica of a Clydesdale. She and Duane both decided they needed a horse this big.Spencer said he did not and to please get him off!
I did not for some reason get a good picture of him fishing, but I did get this lovely picture! He was particularly difficult to photograph that day, fishing was his only agenda!
The girls loving on the ponies, the ponies loved it and we were there for a LONG time!
Katie hijacking our picnic as usual.
Dad preparing all the fishing poles for the kids. What a good dad!
All the kids fishing. Emily is the only one to have caught something, but it was so tiny that she threw it back before I could get there with the camera.
