Our Favorite Child, DJ

Despite my best efforts, I have major printer trouble, probably due to the fact that Katie thinks it is her own personal plaything and pushes buttons continuously to see what it will do next. Nothing good for me, that is for sure! It is now refusing to scan pics, so no cute baby pics of DJ, which is a shame, cause he was SOOOOO cute! And although I have to say that about all my babies, it was truly true of DJ, pretty from the very first moment! Not only so adorable but smart to boot! His video game addiction started early as this picture proves. He has ambitions of being a video game developer for Nintendo. All the kids love their grandpas, and of course, motorcycles! And when you mix the two, now that's a winning combination! DJ was a mans boy! He loved hanging with dad and grandpa and wouldn't think twice about leaving mom behind to hang with the dudes.
Here is DJ with another little one to watch over. DJ is a good big brother! He may have his moments of being obnoxious, but all in all he shows he loves his siblings. Here he is holding Spencer in the hospital. Our two little boys, enjoy them while you can! Next thing you know they're helping you change your diaper and cleaning up after you!
When DJ was in kindergarten he had his first opportunity to play sports. Whoever said starting them early was the way to go was WRONG! That was an interesting summer event. A team of five year olds playing a sport that requires attention, hand-eye coordination, and teamwork, yeah, that's a good idea! And then to put the dads in charge, call CPS! Amazing they all survived, boys and dads. Here DJ is holding his trophy at the end of the season pizza party. He was so proud of that trophy, and best of all the center piece was a light. How cool is that!
At the end of the summer our friend the Giffords came through on their way home from North Carolina. Here is a picture of all our little ones playing in the sand. We we're noticing that DJ and Haily had the same hairdo. That did it for DJ, he said he was never growing it out again, much to his mothers dismay!

DJ was able to join the local swim team and did quit well for only having one season of swimming lessons under his belt. He also lost a lot of weight! He is anxious to swim again, he is like his dad in that respect. He loves to swim!
