The Donation button

So if you haven't noticed, we put a donation button from PayPal at the top of our blog.  Here's the reasoning behind the button.  The idea was to help us get the funds needed for National Boards, a group of 4 tests required by almost all states in order to receive a license, and there is also a smaller PT test.  Though we are required to take these tests we are not able to take out any extra loans to pay for them.  The first three tests are about $530 a piece.  The 4th test is $1200+ and the PT is about $200.  If you happen to fail any part of the test your required to make up that section at a cost of $215 per subject that you've failed.  Sounds like a money making scheme doesn't it!  Anyway, I have taken the first two, I'm still waiting for the results of part 2, and the last 2 and the PT I will be taking before Christmas.  Another cost is the part 4 review.  There are a couple of companies that help us get ready for the Board tests.  The first three are paid for by the school but PT and part 4 we have to pay for out of pocket.  Part 4 review is $550 and PT is something like $90. 
So if we are lucky I wont have to re-do any of part 2.  If that is the case we are looking at $530 for part 3, $1200 for part 4 and $550 for the review, $200 for PT and $90 for it' review.  That adds up to about $2570 that we need to come up with before this fall.  We had planned to use this years tax return which would have covered it but we just found out that the State of Missouri is trying to take some of our Federal return again this year, another long and painful story, lets just say they are seriously corrupt in our eyes!
Anyway, our plan with the donation button is to help pay not only for boards but to help with other financial costs that we are going to be running up against.  I am going to have to fly to Oregon or Washington for for interviews at least once before we leave.  We are also going to need funds to be able to move back.  These are a couple of the bigger costs.
So there are the reasons behind the donation button.  We realize it sounds like we are begging, which we really didn't want to do, but we are coming down to the wire and it seems every time we think we have it, Miss... I mean Satan pulls another fast one on us.  Jill and I both have good ideas and we are going to be working on them to help supplement our income to help with these costs.  We are working hard and know that the Lord has been blessing us and will continue to bless us as we do so.  We know all will work out in the end as it should be, but we are still expected to do all that we can to help us get there.
We are very grateful for all that our family and friends have done for us.  We could not have made it this far with out the great blessings that we have received from their hands.  Please know that we truly love you and appreciate each of you.  Jill and the kids are very excited to visit with as many of you as they are able to when they go back to visit this summer.
